We developed a great rapport with the team at Smith during our partnership to create a new look for the brand last year. So much so, that we decided to share some insights on our collaborative process for DWP 2016.
We wanted to discuss the benefits of collaborative design relationships, and how strategic alignment early in the process paves the way for open dialogue and collaboration. The night opened with a short talk featuring Cinco Director of Product Experience Matt Capozzi and Smith Marketing Director Chatham Baker on agency / brand relationships, then transitioned into an experiential photography show at Smith's new headquarters in SE Portland.
For the event, we tasked 6 photographers with capturing epic moments through special camera lenses 3-D printed by Cinco's product design team using Smith's Chromapop lens discs.
