DWP 2016 : Shared Perspective.

Smith and Cinco teamed up to offer a look into their partnership for Design Week Portland 2016.

We're beyond stoked on the turnout for our event with Smith for Design Week Portland 2016 and extremely grateful to have been a part of this year's festival. If you weren't able to make it, the photos from the show will be hanging at the gallery in the EVO Portland store through the month of May. Check out the summary and photos below and make sure to stop by EVO if you're in Portland this month!

We developed a great rapport with the team at Smith during our partnership to create a new look for the brand last year. So much so, that we decided to share some insights on our collaborative process for DWP 2016.

We wanted to discuss the benefits of collaborative design relationships, and how strategic alignment early in the process paves the way for open dialogue and collaboration. The night opened with a short talk featuring Cinco Director of Product Experience Matt Capozzi and Smith Marketing Director Chatham Baker on agency / brand relationships, then transitioned into an experiential photography show at Smith's new headquarters in SE Portland.

For the event, we  tasked 6 photographers with capturing epic moments through special camera lenses 3-D printed by Cinco's product design team using Smith's Chromapop lens discs.

Participating photographers:

We'd like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended, all of the photographers, the teams at Smith, EVO, and Design Week Portland, and of course to Basecamp Brewing for keeping us all hydrated. We're already looking forward to bringing another fresh perspective to next year's festival!
